Heiko Prümers (KAAK) and Carla Jaimes Betancourt (University of Bonn) have received this year's SAF Field Discovery Award for the project "Pre-Hispanic low-density urbanism in the Bolivian Amazon".
This year's forum received 138 nominations from SAF corresponding members worldwide, with 131 meeting the SAF Awards program's guidelines. To ensure the quality and impartiality of the selections, we sought extensive evaluations from our members, receiving 973 assessments from 83 members. Based on the first round of evaluations, 40 nominations (20 for each category) were shortlisted for the final round of voting. A total of 55 invited members from 32 countries cast their votes, selecting 20 finalists, 10 in each category of Field Discovery and Research Awards.
