Release of MAPDAIK 4

The fourth volume of the online series "Materialien und Arbeitsmittel aus Projekten des Deutschen Archäologischen Instituts Kairo" (MAPDAIK) by Ashraf el-Senussi, entitled "A Corpus of the Pottery from Dahshur from the Early 4th Dynasty to the Beginning of the Middle Kingdom", is now available as open access on the online platform iDAI.repo:

This publication is the result of the author’s comprehensive study of the pottery assemblages found during the excavations of the German Archaeological Institute Cairo in the valley temple of King Sneferu at Dahshur and in the settlement area adjacent to the temple between 2012 and 2020. From 2015–2020, the author was the leading ceramicist of the mission. The corpus of the present catalogue comprises 1214 complete pottery vessels or sherds.
