Research themes

The KAAK's current research themes include four main topics: 1. Forms of sedentary lifestyles and niche formation, 2. Migration (causes and consequences of population movements), 3. Access to resources and their use, and 4. Networks of exchange and trade as well as knowledge transfer. A new and future focus is the study of the archaeology and legacy of (German) colonialism.
