The Keimer-Kolleg at the DAI Cairo is named after the Egyptologist Ludwig Keimer (1892-1957), whose specialist book collection was acquired in 1957 in to rehabilitate the institute library following its seizure in 1939. The college is located on the top floor of our institute building and comprises six air-conditioned study rooms at the disposal for project staff and scholarship holders during their research stays. The common room at the Keimer-Kolleg is equipped with conference technology and can be used as a seminar room for courses, workshops, and smaller meetings with less than 20 participants. The adjoining roof terrace offers a view over the Nile, as well as tranquillity during breaks.
